Pocket Park
Nestled inside the Estate is our beautiful Pocket Park. The park is a safe gathering area for residents and is the ideal spot to celebrate a first birthday party, to enjoy an afternoon barbecue, or to escape for some yoga or quiet reading. Most days you’ll find the neighbourhood kids running around here, laughing and playing together, or trying to beat Mum and Dad in a game of tiggy. Owned by all, Pocket Park is our residents’ park.
Street Library
Inside Pocket Park you’ll find our Street Library. Not only does it help our younger residents to start reading, but also gives our older residents a place to swap and try our something new and unexpected. You never know what you’ll discover, from colouring in books and picture books, through to crime, romance, health and biographies. In a world of phones and iPads, picking up a good book makes a refreshing change.
Wildlife & Open Green Spaces
Our wildlife has even attracted the legend himself, Sir David Attenborough, to visit the Estate. During his time filming the Netflix documentary “Planet Earth 2”, Sir David made a pit stop here to capture our resident bowerbirds living within Townsville Golf Course. It’s no secret how much we love the wildlife here, but now the world knows too. Between Mr. Percival (our resident lake Pelican), the local bowerbirds, and the parrot family species residing here, you soon forget you’re situated so close to the city.
